Gecko Traxx is a portable and affordable manual wheelchair accessory to help individuals access the beach and other off road terrain.
A set of Gecko Traxx tyres packs up into a small mesh bag and can be taken anywhere you go. They’re extremely light and portable. Carry them in your backpack, leave them in the car or bring them with your check-in luggage and Gecko Traxx tyres will be ready to go for your next adventure.
The tyres can be fitted to any standard 24″ wheelchair, even while still seated in the wheelchair. This means that you no longer have to transfer from your chair to fit them, saving you time and energy to spend exploring.
The Gecko Traxx tyre has an innovative tyre cross-section that allows it to be compact, yet work across a large range of terrains. The profile was inspired by a Gecko foot and expands when in contact with the ground, increasing surface area and stopping the tyre sinking into soft surfaces. The tyre returns to its thin profile at the top and sides of the wheelchair wheel and does not impede the push-rim or the frame of the wheelchair.
