Clinical Considerations
• Basketball is a fast paced game with the wheelchair occupant leaning forward and upward to shoot, therefore a pelvic or thigh strap is recommended for use
• The side shields each side of the seat assist to stabilise the trunk when a lateral lean is necessary
• Wheelchair gloves are available as an accessory and will protect the palms while propelling at speed
